Led by four generations of the Jones Family, Fidelity Associates Insurance and Financial Services is celebrating 100 years of service to individuals and businesses in the Pacific Northwest!

Currently Fidelity manages premium exceeding 40 million, which ranks Fidelity in the top 5% of all United States insurance agents and brokers and one of the oldest and largest regional independently owned insurance brokerage firms in the Inland Northwest.

The four generations of management by the Jones Family began in the early 1900's when Fred K. Jones purchased the Trustee Company, which formed in 1906 as a Real Estate Investment Trust to manage five downtown buildings in Spokane on behalf of the owners. The name of the company changed to Central Business Property Co.

Fred was one of the pioneer civic leaders in Spokane serving as President of the Spokane Chamber of Commerce, Potentate of El Katif Shrine, and the only Spokane citizen ever to serve on the Rotary International Board of Directors.

His son, Kennard Jones, took over management of the company in 1946. Kennard's eldest son, Barry joined the family firm in 1957 as manager of the insurance department. Under his leadership, the company began its long and successful growth.

Central Business Property Co. purchased several small local insurance agencies over the next few years, including the purchase in 1906 of Fidelity Associates, then the insurance arm of Fidelity Mutual Savings Bank. The insurance operations was consolidated under the Fidelity Associates name.

In the early 1980's two of Barry's sons, Scott and Craig, joined the family firm. Scott is current President/CEO and Craig is Vice President and Commercial Marketing Manager. Both service a large number of personal and commercial accounts.

Over the past 100 years, Fidelity has grown with its professional reputation to be large enough to have the variety of insurance markets needed to provide coverage in this complex world, but at the same time remains small enough to provide personalized customer service to insure its continued growth for many years.
